Workshops and Seminars
Recently I did
two of Karin Stewart’s tele-seminars: Optimizing Your Day
and Organizing Your Papers. Now I should tell you that I’ve never been a very organized
person: no to-do list, no in or out box, just papers in
random piles all over the place and me feeling like I
don’t know what to do next, and usually stressing out
about getting all my work done for the day.
So you can see why I was intrigued enough by the
names of her classes to try them.
I spent 3 hours on the phone with Karin and really
listened to her philosophy on structuring your day and paper
organization. I
was fascinated by the depth of her knowledge and her ability
to make using her systems EASY!
Since working with her I now have a daily to-do list
which helps me to prioritize at work and a paper management
system that I actually LIKE to use and that really works for
me. Karin’s
ability to personalize her systems is one of her greatest
strengths. I know that I can do this because she took the
time to find out about who I am and how I work, so that her
recommendations were the right ones for me.
I highly recommend her for any person who wants to
live their live with greater ease and less stress.
I look forward to working with her again.

I thoroughly enjoyed Karins' How to
Unclutter teleclass. I found it interesting and it
helped me to understand why I approach my files and
papers the way I do. I have implemented the Right
Brain approach for papers (I found I am right brain
dominant). I had done some of it that way, but

for me in mind. It has made it easier to find things
during this tax season. I am looking forward to taking

Work
Meeting Karin was truly fate! At the
time I began working with Karin, I was working over 12-hour
days and also working on weekends, which had quite a toll on
my personal life. Two years after beginning my own business,
my work-life balance was out of sorts and I was facing
burn-out. I was beginning to resent the business and career
that I had once loved, because I couldn’t keep a better
schedule. Karin really helped me to see the value in my
personal time. She helped me point out the places where I
was over doing it and also helped me see how I could benefit
by paying more attention to my personal life. I was able to
put her suggestions into practice immediately, using tools
and techniques to first see what was really on my plate and
then to prioritize my personal responsibilities and my work
responsibilities. I learned that my internal clock was way
off and I re-learned how to better estimate time, which in
turn helped me to keep a better schedule and keep my
deadlines with clients. Overall I am happier, my clients are
happier, and even my friends and family have commented on
how much more relaxed I seem. By focusing more time on
personal responsibilities and my personal life, I am a much
happier person and a much more efficient worker. Karin was
wonderful to work with and her expertise was truly welcomed!

Dear Karin,
My work life is similar to a
hospital. Each day in real estate there are regularly
scheduled appointments such as open houses, meetings,
mailings and following up with buyers and sellers. However,
each day also brings emergencies - new phone calls from
buyers, negotiations, an invitation to see a new apartment,
a call for help from a colleague. It's easy to neglect or
postpone the mailings and other things that build business
in favor of responding to emergencies or new
opportunities.
I don't know how I managed for so
long without you. For example, thanks to you and the Office
Relief System:

I can find the things I need
faster because of a new filing system

I
can do more because I now have a system to help me avoid
spending too much time on any one thing

I
have time to tackle the projects to help me grow my
business, and that used to get repeatedly
postponed.

I know when it's working: the knot
in my stomach loosens and things that I've been postponing
finally get done! Many knots have loosened thanks to
you!
