Go Reactive to Proactive...
Without the Stress
So, how do you go about doing it
all?
The way to a stress-free work life starts with looking at your existing life,
modifying what is not serving you, and building a support system that allows
you to do everything. Here is what you need to do:
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses
of your present system
- Make your environment more efficient
- (Re-) discover your goals, and make
action plans
- Optimize your day
- Eliminate your time-robbers
- Practice effective communication
- Be ready for
emergencies, large and small
- Develop strategies to prevent stress
from taking hold
These are the steps of the Office Relief System that I created to help
professionals just
like you increase their productivity and balance work
and life. The professionals I have worked with who have applied those steps have
seen their work lives become much less
stressful, more productive and more balanced in a short period of time.
How short is it?
Well, it depends on how committed you are to work on those different steps.
It is not a quick fix, in the sense that it requires you to do a lot of work
and then to maintain it, but you can see significant results in as little
as a month, sometimes even less. If you follow the program, you will feel
more proactive and less stressed.
Who is this program for?
It is for self-employed professionals, anyone in sales or small business
owners who have a lot of demands on their time and feel
stuck in reactive mode because of that, and who want to
change this situation. I'm know to work very well with
committed go-getters. If you are looking for a magic bullet
that transforms your work life without effort on your part,
I'm not the right person for you.
A little about my background
After a time in academia (I have a PhD in telecommunications), I chose to leave
the field - because I wanted to work with people rather than numbers - and
worked in corporate America in various functions. In particular, I worked as
technical manager in a small consulting firm specializing in
issues related to non-traditional scheduling and fatigue; as
the right arm of the COO of a fast-paced company; as the
right arm to a micro-business owner. I then
started to work for myself, as a professional organizer specializing in
office environments, but soon found that I needed to add
time management to the services that I offered to my
clients. Because of my varied experience, I'm not talking to
you as a know-it-all expert, but someone who has been in a
similar situation you are, who has hands-on experience with
the challenges of managing my own business as well as
managing a mid-size business. With
me you gain a cheerleader, an advisor, but never a judge!
So what is next?
I invite you to read my interview and the testimonials,
they will give you more information on the program and how we can work together.
Also, register for my newsletter, it will give you
information-packed advice every month, free of charge.
